Grand Theft Auto VI now shows its age rating on the official stores: Mature 17+ in the United States, with seven content descriptors and in-game purchases. It launches on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. We reviewed its official launch page to see what a business can copy.
What we know
- Rating: Mature 17+ from the ESRB, the body that rates video games in the United States. It appears on the US Xbox Store listing and on the US version of Rockstar's official page.
- Descriptors: blood and gore, intense violence, mature humor, nudity, strong language, strong sexual content, and use of drugs and alcohol.
- In-game purchases: the listing includes them.
- Date and platforms: November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
- Price and pre-order: from US$79.99 on the US Xbox Store. Pre-orders are open and include a bonus pack and one month of GTA+.
- Other countries: PEGI 18 in the United Kingdom and R18+ in Australia and New Zealand, according to gHacks, which cites the PlayStation Store listings. KeenGamer also reports the R18+ rating in Australia.
What changes and what doesn't
The rating does not change the date or the price. What changes is that the official listings are now complete, with date, price and rating, less than seven weeks before launch.
Complete listings bring specific questions: what age can play it, how much it costs and which console it runs on. The pages that answer best are the ones with those facts written down and easy to see.
What its launch page does
We opened the game's official page on October 2 and 3, 2026 and looked at how it is built.
What it does well:
- The first thing you see is the date, the pre-order button and the consoles. Without scrolling you know when it launches and how to buy it.
- Everything lives at one address: trailers, editions, story, downloads and news.
- It declares 13 language versions with hreflang.
What it lacks, in the version our browser loaded:
- No structured data.
- No H1 heading.
- A meta description of more than 350 characters in the Spanish version, which Google cuts off.
Rockstar needs them less: people search for its game by name. A small business doesn't have that brand demand, and those three elements help Google and AI systems understand what the page is about.
How we apply it at DomHostSeo
The reading of Rockstar's page is ours: we opened it in Chrome on October 2 and 3, 2026 and report what loaded in our browser. We have not played the game: it is not out yet.
Our SEO work starts with a technical audit: speed, errors and structured data. And on our own website we publish in Spanish and English, with hreflang between both versions.
If you are launching something before the end of the year, start with that page. The audit is the first step of our SEO service.
